The CAT IS BACK!

THE CAT IS BACK! Tommy's Pub 6-8-2011 - GroundCat's Day!
www.infernalrockradio.com

Yes it is true! The Cat returns to the airwaves tonight at 7 pm eastern to Infernal Rock Radio!  The Pub will open its doors and you are welcomed to stay via the Infernal Rock Radio chatroom or have the official LOUDCITY feed stream through itunes, winamp, android, ipad etc! If it is web accessible and has sound, you can tune in!  No limitations like FM radio.
What is on the Pubs schedule tonight???  Well we have the return of some old bits, debuting some new bits, some bits aren't scheduled for tonight, such as The Pub's Top 11 albums of the week which will be back ASAP!  As always the New Cats on the Block Block which offers 5 brand new releases of the week.   Another fan favorite that was taken out of the show previously but will be returning will be the recorded tracks off of LP.  But instead of an hour, "Tails from the Pub Juke Box" will be a  full block of 5 tracks recorded from the vinyls stored deep inside the boxes vault!
Also tonight: Tommy's Pub house band of the week!  A segment that will hopefully soon have interviews, but for now it is a Triple Shot of the selected band.  This weeks band is Barn Burner!

Barn Burner, a stoner metal band from Canada released their brand new album this week Bangers II: Scum Of The Earth, a follow up to last years Bangers, which was one of my surprise albums of the year and a kick ass debut!  The follow up is just as good!  I will be playing 2 titles of the new album, and my favorite tune from the debut Bangers.  You don't want to miss this!

Also tonight we might have some special guests, and other surprises so tune in! Again at 7 pm tonight, Eastern! I hope to see you all there! Old faces and new faces!  While I am on and you do have a request, you can go to the official infernal rock radio website www.infernalrockradio.com select request and stroll through the selection of music that is offered!  You can also reach me via yahoo at tommythecat999@yahoo.com you can reach me via Skye but please use yahoo first.

Last but not least, I would like to take this moment to thank Charlie, the station owner, and Patti the station manager for bringing me back!  And I Would like to thank also the djs and IRR family for the warm welcomes!  I am happy to be back and I cant wait to contribute and help take this station to where it belongs, on the top!  See you all there!  Drink responsibly - Cat

Tommy's Pub Recap: Wednesday 10/13/10

Great show this week! It was in fact a bittersweet show.  Given the fact that is was the last Tommy's Pub show in Philadelphia, with my relocation to the Twin Cities!!!  Also, I interviewed Judah Kim from Philadelphia's own StoneThrown http://www.cdbaby.com/artist/stonethrown http://www.myspace.com/stonethrown Awesome Interview! Awesome band, and an awesome dude!!! Please do check them out!!!  I want to thank Jimmy K for all of his help with the interview, a fellow dj of mine at Infernal Rock Radio who is co-host of The Bastard Den, BOA Friday Nights and his own show Studio K.

10/9 Primus at the Tower Theater - Philadelphia Pa

Amazing show! All i have to say! Mucca Pazza opened up with so much energy coming from the 30+ Circus Marching Band Punk style they self pro-claim themselves as!

They  recieved a standing ovation! They ran through the crowd, even the trumpet/trombone section made its way up to the balcony!

By the time Colonel Claypool and Primus came on stage, our seats got moved up to the 3rd row, thanks to connections :)  And what an amazing show!!! I was even treated to 2 Pink Floyd covers... A version of Mother on the whamola and an outro jam of a part of Shine On You Crazy Diamond, which followed Harold On The Rocks! Im sure the only song the novice Primus fan would of known was My Name Is Mudd.  The setlist was amazing and full of suprises!
